Born in Atlanta, Virginia has lived in New Orleans for nearly two decades. While her career began in education, art has remained a constant thread. A 2024 Artist in Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center, Virginia has exhibited her work at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and Ferrara Showman Gallery. In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition at Second Story Gallery. Virginia considers community an essential part of her practice and regularly organizes and participates in group exhibitions and critique groups.
